What is your pricing and do you require a retainer?

Pricing depends on the type of session or project, the amount of coverage needed, and the final deliverables. A nonrefundable retainer is required to reserve your date. For custom projects, I’m happy to discuss your goals and create an option that fits what you need.

What is your process for working with a new client?

I like to start by learning what you’re looking for, what you’re hoping to accomplish, and what matters most to you. From there, we’ll talk through the details, choose a date and location, and make sure we’re on the same page before moving forward. Once everything is confirmed, I’ll send over the agreement and next steps. My goal is to make the process feel simple, personal, and comfortable from the beginning.

What education and training do you have?

My background combines hands-on media experience with formal education. I was trained in professional portrait lighting while working with Providence School Pictures and gained video production experience at HCC-TV, where I learned to shoot, edit, incorporate music, and create graphics for video. I later earned my bachelor’s degree in Communications and continued developing my photography, video, and marketing skills through corporate media and communications roles.

How did you get started in photography and media?

I started taking photography seriously in high school when I enrolled in a Commercial Photography course because I wanted to learn how to use a camera professionally. That curiosity grew into years of hands-on experience in photography, video, communications, and marketing. I’m still learning and looking for ways to improve my craft with every project.

What types of clients have you worked with?

I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, including families, couples, brides and grooms, mothers, individuals, business owners, attorneys, and other professionals. I also work with businesses and brands that need photography, video, and visual content to help them communicate what they do.

How long does it take to receive my photos or video?

Delivery time depends on the type of project. Most photography sessions are delivered within 7–14 business days, while larger events and projects typically take 14–28 business days. I’ll always let you know what to expect when we discuss your project.

How do I book a session or project?

The easiest way to get started is by submitting an inquiry through the website. Tell me a little about what you’re looking for, your preferred date, and anything else that would help me understand your vision. I’ll follow up with availability, pricing, and the next steps.

Do you photograph weddings?

Yes, wedding photography and video are available for select dates. AR Story Media also works with businesses, brands, families, couples, and other meaningful events, so weddings are one part of what I offer rather than the focus of the business.

What makes a good photography or video project?

The best projects usually start with a clear idea of what you want the images or video to accomplish. Whether you’re documenting your family, promoting a business, or celebrating an important moment, knowing your goals helps me create visuals that feel intentional and useful rather than simply producing images for the sake of having them.

What should I look for when hiring a photographer or videographer?

Start by looking through their previous work to make sure their style and quality are a good fit for what you have in mind. I also recommend reading reviews and asking questions about what is included in the service. Price is important, but it shouldn’t be the only factor. The right photographer or videographer is someone whose work, communication, and approach match what you actually need.

What should I think about before contacting a photographer or videographer?

A few helpful questions to consider are:

  • Does their photography or video style match what I’m looking for?
  • What do I want these photos or videos to accomplish?
  • Where will I use the final images or videos?
  • How much coverage do I actually need?
  • Do I need photography, video, or both?
  • What is most important to me about the final result?
  • Have I looked through their previous work and reviews?
  • Have I shared enough information for them to give me an accurate quote?

What is a recent project you’re especially fond of?

One project that really stayed with me was photographing and filming a woman who was celebrating her 90th birthday. I loved being able to document such a meaningful milestone, and I also had the opportunity to create a photo album for her daughter. It was a reminder of how much photographs can mean to a family beyond the day they are taken.

Has a project ever changed the way you think about your work?

One project that has stayed with me was creating a photo slideshow for a funeral. I had never met the person, but through the photographs I got to see pieces of their life from childhood through their final years. I became deeply invested in telling their story with care. It reminded me that photography and video can preserve much more than a moment. They can help people remember a life.
